Get this exotic look in your conservatory in four steps.
1) Invest in relaxed and comfortable garden rattan furniture
2) Introduce tropical brights by mixing and matching brightly coloured cushions in different designs
3) Plump up the scheme with lush green plants in oversized containers
4) Add decorative detail and ambient lighting with tinted glass lanterns in citrus shades

Check out this idea for a child’s study area. Map motif wallpaper makes a striking statement behind the desk – perfect for quizzing up on their geography! What I like most about this idea is that you don’t have a spare room for it, the wallpaper itself defines the workspace so you can tuck it into the corner of the bedroom.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m very grateful for the British sunshine, but this calm and cool bedroom makes me long for that exotic beach hut-style. I love how the unusual canvas adds natural texture against the white-painted wall panelling; how the sheer curtains create a calming feel; and how the gorgeous silk ruffled throw adds a shot of mocha luxury to the crisp white bed linen. Bliss!

WOW! This is certainly not for the faint-hearted – I admit, it’s a little much for me – however if it’s a statement dining room you’re after, look no further! Create the look by mixing and matching similar stripes in different widths like the bold vertical wall stripe and the narrow horizontal stripe pendant light, and throw in a statement piece in a completely different shade for a quirky feel!

Check out this kitchen-diner layout. The kitchen is built down one side with a table running down the entire length to create one large open-plan room.

I really like this garden from the Chelsea Flower Show, glass panels in the wooden frame shelter diners from the wind and look very stylish, too!

Take a look at this dining room scheme courtesy of Decor8. Instead of picture frames they’ve used clipboards. It’s so effective and easy to change the pictures when you’re bored of them – I love it!

On my browsing around the web I’ve noticed plenty of different styles of splashbacks. It seems everything is getting bolder and brighter. What do you think of this bold blue kitchen splashback? I like it mixed with bright accessories, but wouldn’t be sure about it on its own.

I liked this room for three reasons
- The all-white colour theme seemed so calm and relaxing
- Quirky accessories and an unusual telephone add personality
- The customised notice board gives a pretty feel
