Garden ideas and designs – country-style

So here I am again, walking to work with a HUGE smile as I bake in the sun (… nervously still holding onto my coat) and as I look forward to what’s set to be a summery weekend.

I’m hunting for more garden ideas this week, but this time, my sights (daydreaming sights) have stretched beyond garden patio designs. Look at these beautiful country-style ideas.

Create a vintage garden

Team wrought-iron furniture (this loveseat is perfect for romantic afternoons) with faded florals, weather-worn planters, bunting and, of course, enough elderflower cordial to sink a small ship! Invest in a garden shed, and transform it into a relaxing garden room (no garden tools allowed!)

I’ve been waiting for YEARS for one of those DAB radios … especially the Cath Kidston one – yum.

Go for the all-out country-style look

If you’re lucky enough to have a large garden, why not divide it into zones like in this country-style scheme. Liven up your outdoor dining area wih pretty pink fabrics and lanterns on the paved area, and draw attention to the back with an inviting garden room.

The sage green is a lovely colour for the garden. The white metal bench looks splendid against it.

Love the last image – it’s exactly how I’d want my garden. Although I’d feel like I should wear a bonnet… 🙂
