Anyone seen the latest issue of Livingetc? Mine landed firmly on my desk this morning, and what a lovely flash of present day (it’s Christmas press show season!) decorating inspiration it was … well, almost was…
Check out these 1950s Palm Springs-inspired decorating schemes. Packed with the vibrancy and glamour you’d associate with Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra‘s weekend oasis/playground! I can safely say I won’t be going for this look in my home BUT I do love them in a ‘I want every day to bright and party-filled’ kind of way! Definitely inspiring for modern decorating lovers!
For grown-up glam, use flashes of feather-boa pink set against a white background…
Create a sun-soaked, upbeat space with geometric yellow bands. Tip – offsetting the stripes creates an op-art version of glinting sun, while gradually widening them opens up the room at head height!
This living room has such a swing beat vibe – Martinis are a MUST!

Gorgeous colours, although I’m not keen on the last one.

The Flamingo Bedroom is great, and the Retro Living Room is very “Palm Springish”…
Loved looking around the Decorating Schemes pages and celebrity homes images.
Thanks,
