I’m a sucker for a gloss finish and I love this glossy green!  Painted onto a chunky desk and chunky shelves it makes a great impact, I bet that took a few coats though!

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show – one week to go!

With the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show not far away I thought I’d show you one of my favourite gardens from previous years.  I love the over hanging wooden bench nestled within the flower bed, what a perfect spot to read a good book – especially as the trickling sound of the water spout towards the back of the garden would create a real Zen atmosphere.

I was just checking out Decor8 and came across these great rooms – thanks Decor8!  They’re from Retrovilla in Denmark and I’m totally in love with the bright, vibrant patterns.  It’s such a great, refreshing look, my favourite is the kitchen with an eclectic mix of designs.

My niece and nephew can never sit still – especially when it comes to homework time.  Which is why I like this room – a huge map makes it an inspiring and fun place to study, although it might prove too much of a distraction for my nephew!

This room has totally inspired me.  I’d love to have large opening doors , blending the garden and living room into one.  Perfect for this time of year, I just want to be blogging from the lounging area at the end of the garden!

Statement circles

I’m indulging my current obsession with paint effects again!  Check out this living room.  I love how these large circles over lap each other and dominate the back wall.  The scheme is coordinated by repeating the pink and grey in the accessories around the room.

Where’s the television gone?

Where to put the TV is a classic dilema.  I like this idea, nestled in amongst a gallery of frames it doesn’t look out of place or dominate the room.

Put up a panel

The owners of this bathroom have used a panel of water-resistant wallpaper to add a splash of pattern.  I think it looks great as you walk into the room.  I’m considering covering the doors of my bathroom cabinet in something similar to get the effect.
