I was having a browse on madebygirl and a cheeky house started playing tricks on me! Not only has it discovered an alternative to buying the latest bestsellers (and reading them!) with that quirky bookshelf canvas, but it looks like they’ve also done away with dining room lighting – all in the name of art!

I just love having lunch at an interior designer’s house – of course, by ‘lunch’ I mean, a Pret sandwich at my desk and by ‘at a interior designer’s house’, I mean courtesy of desiretoinspire‘s fantastic gallery of designer John Loecke’s style creations. This colour-filled living room will liven any mood right up to the bright wallpapered ceiling … i’m getting a little tired just looking at it.

Yes I know, I ought to be working, but the ‘What TV Series did these kitchens star in?’ quiz on casasugar was just too distracting this morning. Here’s a kitchen from one of my all-time favourite shows, i’ll give you a clue – it’s as fashionable and stylish as the gorgeous kitchen units … but a lot more cheeky.

I don’t remember such comfortable seating during my last visit to the Eiffel Tower, but I think this wall sticker from Rockett St George makes a real statement … non? The great thing about wall stickers is that they’re reversible, so why not set up camp under the Statue of Liberty next year?

I would have loved an attic hideaway like this when I was younger – very princess in the castle. Even now, I think this bedroom space is a great way to make the most out of an awkward layout – although probably not for the claustrophobic among us. I’d probably liven it up with a bit of colour though … and make sure the door remained unlocked!

I’ve nothing against the colour pink, mixed with grey it looks sophisticated, a pastel pink is perfect in a country scheme and a bright pink damask pattern is a classic feature wall choice. However, this pink-on-pink scheme is not for me. I think it is just too …. pink!
